What Bidwatch collects and displays
Bidwatch searches and displays public eBay listing data returned by the eBay Browse API. This can include listing titles, prices, item URLs, listing end times, shipping details, bid status, and seller usernames shown on public listings.
What Bidwatch stores
Bidwatch stores the minimum app data needed to operate and monitor performance, such as cached listing snapshots, request metadata, server logs, and the account data required for optional sign-in. Signed-in users can also bookmark searches and favorite auction listing snapshots.
Feed personalization
The public auction feed can remember dismissed listings only for the current browser session. If you sign in, Bidwatch can use your bookmarks, favorite listings, and feed actions to rank the feed for you. Per-listing feed signals are kept for up to 90 days and are removed when your account is deleted.
eBay credentials and sign-in
Bidwatch uses its own eBay developer credentials server-side to request public listing data. Those credentials are not exposed to visitors. Optional sign-in is handled by Better Auth using supported identity providers such as Google and Facebook.
eBay policy alignment
Bidwatch handles eBay data in a way intended to remain consistent with the eBay Privacy Notice and eBay API License Agreement requirements for applications using eBay Developer Tools and eBay Content.
